Finally getting around to posting some more photos from Colorado. Lots of things have been going on and it finally cooled off enough to sit at the computer and get some photo editing done. Back to Colorado. As part of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo admission is a drive up the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun. This stone shrine was built on top of the mountain and has amazing views across the foothills and plains of southern Colorado. The details throughout are what caught my eye as you can see in the photos. I wish there would have been a decent photo from before we drove up, but I will have to revert back to a stock photo. Have a look at the official site for some of the history and a photo that will really give you some perspective. It was a cool site to see.
